The Hanford Concerns Council understands that bringing
a safety, health or environmental issue of concern is a very important,
and personal, experience for the employee. After
telling their individual stories during the course of Council interviews,
many employees often say, “This is the first time anyone
has heard me out.”
Beginning with the initial phases of hearing the employee’s
concerns and conducting its assessment, Council members seek to
be sensitive to the individual’s personal situation, needs
and inevitable emotions.
