Sherry Arnold brings to her position as Council Administrator experience and knowledge she has gained in her nineteen years of public service. She has served in a number of positions with the City of Kennewick where she provided major support to Administrative Services, Finance, and, most recently, the Police Department. She also served as the Secretary to the City’s LEOFF I Disability Board for five years.
From 1994 to 2003, Arnold worked with the Hanford Joint Council (HJC) for Resolving Employee Concerns, an organization dedicated to the resolution of employee concerns regarding health, safety, and environmental issues at the site through an alternative dispute resolution process. Her responsibilities included building and maintaining the Council’s infrastructure and managing its day-to-day operations. As Administrator and Case Assistant, she also served as the primary liaison between concerned employees and Council members. Arnold was an invaluable contributor to the HJC during its entire existence.
She brings to the Hanford Concerns Council the interpersonal skills and clear-eyed focus that she demonstrated in her earlier work with the HJC. She has a BA from Washington State University and is a graduate of the Cascade Center for Public Service Management Series at the University of Washington.
